WHY URUGUAY?

URUGUAY CAN BE AN IDEAL COUNTRY FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE BECAUSE
  • Uruguay is a territorial tax jurisdiction for natural persons. There is no tax on foreign income in Uruguay – this can be particularly useful for crypto holders who often convert their crypto into fiat. Unlike Paraguay, you must live in Uruguay for at least six months per year to become a tax resident (or invest around $380,000 in real estate or $1.5 million in business investments).
  • Obtaining permanent residency in Uruguay is a cheap and straightforward process.
  • You only need to visit Uruguay for three days to apply for temporary residency for two years (you must notify the Uruguayan Immigration Office three months in advance). After two years in Uruguay (you should live there most of the time), you can easily apply for permanent residency in Uruguay.
  • Uruguay is a very peaceful country where you can live a quiet life.
  • Canceling your EU residency has many advantages. They vary from country to country, but in many European countries it means, for example, no compulsory military service, no obligation to be a customer of health care oligopolies and no social security monopoly.
  • In addition, two new continents will automatically become your new home – the EU, where your EU citizenship will allow you to stay indefinitely without any permits, and South America, where your Uruguayan ID card will allow you to move freely without a passport (Uruguay is a member of Mercosur, the Latin American version of Shengen).
  • The possibility of choosing the most suitable global international health insurance for you.
  • It is still possible to manage your European companies in most countries.

THE PLAN INCLUDES:

  • Return flights from Europe to Montevideo (all inclusive plan*)
  • Accommodation in a 5-star luxury hotel during both visits to Montevideo (all-inclusive plan*)
  • Guidance in your home country to obtain all the necessary documentation for permanent residency (this process usually takes 4-6 weeks) (all plans)
  • Delivery of all necessary documents to our Uruguayan lawyers to start the immigration process (all plans)
  • Visit to the immigration office (with 3 months notice)
  • Advice on what you need to do in your home country to cancel your permanent residency, including any related insurance. Please note that local laws and procedures may vary from country to country.
  • Advice on obtaining international global health insurance

Obtaining permanent residency in Uruguay is probably the cheapest and easiest process in the world.
